It follows four of the women who ran grass-roots campaigns for Congress in 2018, including Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. In an article about the Sundance festival, Manohla Dargis of The Times called the film “fast and efficient,” writing that “‘Knock Down the House’ works because it looks at political action from the ground up.”
NEW WORLD SYMPHONY AT CARNEGIE HALL Stream on Medici.tv. The star pianist Yuja Wang will take the stage under the baton of a star conductor, Michael Tilson Thomas, at Carnegie Hall on Wednesday night with the New World Symphony. On the program is the New York premiere of a piece by Julia Wolfe, Prokofiev’s final piano concerto and Berlioz’s “Symphonie Fantastique,” a tone poem that was referred to in a review by Corinna da Fonseca-Wollheim in The Times last year as “one of the wildest exhibits in the 19th-century orchestral canon.”
